Now I’m back home in Columbia and opening a few spots for private, in-person drum lessons.

FAQs
Do you teach beginners?
Yes. If you can hold sticks and care enough to practice, we’re good. I’ll build you a simple system that actually sticks.
I’ve taken lessons before and didn’t improve. Why is this different?
Because we use a plan. Clear goals, weekly reps, progress tracking, and feedback tied to real music and live performance.
What ages do you teach?
Teens to adults. For younger students, a parent should be involved in scheduling and practice accountability.
In-person or online?
Both. In-person in West Columbia or online via Zoom. Online students get PDF notes and play-along links after each session.
What gear do I need?
In-person: I’ve got a full pro kit. Bring sticks (or you're gonna be using Promark forward 5Bs) and a notebook.
Online or at home: a kit or practice pad + sticks. We’ll make it work.
What styles do you teach?
I am competent in all styles but my entire touring career has been playing metal/rock/pop/country/funk etc. If you are deep into studying jazz or latin, I'm probably not your guy. I focus on clean fundamentals and systems that make you a reliable professional: time, pocket, velocity control, endurance, creativity, and showmanship, where and how to chop, how to listen better and make solid music choices. If it helps you crush on stage, we do it.
How do payments work?
$25 deposit when you book, balance at the lesson. Packs are paid up front. Cards coming as soon as Wix Payments is live.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Reschedule 24+ hours before your lesson to keep your deposit. Late cancels and no-shows lose the deposit. Respect the clock.
Can I just buy a pack and schedule as I go?
Yep. 4-pack is $360 and must be used within 12 weeks. You’ll get priority on scheduling.
Will you help me prep for auditions or a tour?
Absolutely. I offer audition/tour prep with charts, set flow, click/track integration, and performance reps. Ask about add-on coaching.
Do I need to read music?
No. I’ll teach you what you need. We use ears, grids, and simple notation as tools, not homework.
What if I’m already good?
Great. We’ll sharpen the edges and prepare you for professional tour life. Pro habits, no BS.
